The complete 4 sessions over the summer were about how art / visual culture was and is still our first and main form of communication.

Session one was making signs with the participants own name

Session two was about making art work for the family around wishes and hopes for the future.

Session three was about creating art works that feature creative art and design – trainers – that is all around us

The fourth session was making art about themselves ‘this is me’

The final session in Kirkham, rounded off the summer workshops with the community creating and painting a sign incorporating ‘spray painted hand stencils – the first expression of human ‘self’.
