Fleetwood Schools Workshop sessions for Fleetwood Museum 2025

The inspiration for all the collaged art works created during the workshops was taken from Fleetwood’s own rich architectural history, the Fleetwood Museum and building at number 8 Queens Terrace and from ideas generated using materials pupils imagining their own museum buildings

We took over 500 photographs of pupils work over the 5 sessions so apologies for any that we have not included here. We invite the schools involved to look at the photos using links we will send them as soon as possible

Below are a selection of photographs taken of collage art works created by pupils at four Fleetwood Schools. We carried out workshop sessions for Fleetwood Museum on behalf of Kate Eggleston-Wirtz, as part of the community consultation process asking local people what they would like to see the building at number 8 used for.

The pupils at Fleetwood High made art works from a brief set by us to create architectural ideas for a museum around the number eight

Pupils will be able to include this as working towards their GCSE portfolios.

One pupil also made a museum art work ‘souvenir’ design for the Museum shop.
